I had a "no commitment no contract" membership that was falsely advertised by the saleswoman and the real terms of the contract is unknown until you sign the electronic strip and the contract is printed as part of your receipt. It was advertised and explained as a "pay as you go" beneficial membership. However, I notice my card was billed $11.70 regardless of my attendance.
I first try to resolve the problem by going to the gym to cancel my membership and then by calling the corporate office. Although it was one (1) day pass the last day my card was billed, I was told by the customer service manager that i was going to receive a final bill of $27.30 which included the annual dues.
I did not sign up on these terms that were later imposed on me. The terms were changed without my knowledge. These practices are shamefully disgusting!
For any one living in the New York metro area I plan to take this to court and I AM WILLING TO TESTIFY based on my experience for anyone else who has a justifiable case like mine. Feel free to contact me at sonya11226@yahoo.com
