This is to respond to the 1/7/09 letter.

Please tell me something that I don't know how much they are paying you to defend them. You sound like a provoked manager not a member.

I have called numerous times 212.734.9717 with no luck. There is no one to answer the phone with the exception of lunch time or after hours when you get a message to call during business hours. Calls to the Gym in Linden NJ did not solve anything; they give you the same number or tell you to go to their website to print cancellation forms. Let me ask you which form can I use just to cancel my membership without any cause? I don’t have a contract and desire to go to Lucile Roberts anymore.

So there it is I am upset because when you go to sign up they charge you at the gym, but when you want to cancel they give you this bogus number to call.

This is my advice to Lucille Roberts and its management keep up with this customer service and you will be out of business sooner than you think.

This place is ridiculous. I'm trying to put a freeze on my account and they won't let me do this in the gym. I have to call 212-734-9717....THIS MUST BE A FAKE NUMBER!!! At this point I don't want to be a member there at all. I called the Massapequa location at least 5 times now, and they told me to write a letter to customer service. Hello? It's not 1912. Someone help. Help me Howard!

They suck! They said to cancled i have to do it on line,every time i try to log in it say that this account is not confirmed.I have been trying for a year,still being charges .My credit card on file finally exipired.now they are sending me late charge notice with over due balance.What does no contract means.

I have been trying to calle the 212 734 9717 to cancel my member ship and no one ever answers this number. I am left with NO WAY to cancel my membership and I am getting charged every month, and I am not even using the gym. This place is FRAUD. They should be taken to task by the law.

HORRIBLE!!!! i cancelled my membership and specifically asked the rep. if my account would be billed again. She told me no....next billing date there is another debit from my checking account. I called again and they told me they had no record of my cancellation. How the *** is that possible?! they really need to get it together. I was then told that they would cancel it as a COURTESY and i will receive a check in the mail in 4-6 weeks. NEVER EVER will i do business with this gym.

Lucille Roberts has the absolute worst customer service ever. Their 1800 number is to the Hamilton gym, ummm, shouldn't that be their main number??? Its just so weird, and then when you actually speak to someone, they are nasty. Never again will I join a Lucille Roberts gym again. I'd rather pay a higher monthly rate and receive better service, than to be given the run around every single time I call.

I just called the Customer service number at 212.734.9806 like Angry Customer and I got my membership cancelled today by a rep who said they would not charge me for the cancellation and also I will not be billed anymore, hopefully. Also don't bother with Customer service online because even after you make your account and activate it, it would tell me that I entered in the wrong email or password when I entered it in carefully 5 times!

That number does not work! I just spoke to the girl on wall st and she confirmed the number and stated that it works but it does not. They stopped taking out money out of my account for the monthly payment and now they want me to pay all in full which is a big amount or I could renew my contract and they would waive the fees. I hate that gym and i stopped going after a few times. Now i'm stuck with this *** bill and no answer from customer service :(

I would never join LUCILLE ROBERTS or even refer anyone to them. I called their so called customer service line 212-734-9717 and didnt get anyone for an hr. The form online to cancel is not coming up...this is real bullshit. NEVER AGAIN

I had the same problem with the same gym the one located in Linden,nj the 212 734 9717 directed me to an anwer machine that did not even mention lucille roberts, but I did find a real customer service number and it is 212 734 9806 I was able to speak to a rep. within 5-7mins and cancelled my membership, which of course cost money. Hope this is helpful.
